Hi there,

since 2 weeks or so I have a problem in creating backups of my DVDs. When I try to rip them with SmartRipper 2.41 - which actually was never a problem - I'm now getting the error "WinIO locked - Try to unlock with a player". So I tried to play the DVD with my software DVD-Player (Power DVD), but the problem remains . The strange thing is that Power DVD does not play DVDs anymore, it says that "DVD is in unexpected format".

This happens since 2 weeks or something. Perhaps DVD-Drive failure? Or can it be that Win XP SP1 causes this?

I Suggest you try re-installing your ASPI Layer, make sure it's 4.60 Build 1021
