I installed the 21 day trial of AnyDVD and tried to
burn a copy of my After the Sunset, burn worked fine
then I had a problem copying onto the blank dvd.
I am using Memorex DVD+R, Nero kept coming up with
an error, "Not enough space on blank disc", the movie
is only 92 minutes long and my DVD is 120 minutes.
Nero says DVD required is DVD+/-/RW and wont burn on
my DVD. When I was using XCopy I never had this problem
I dont know what to do now. Can you help.
Thanks

for starters change your media, memorex only works for 1% of the population.
You will need to start from scratch.
What are your pc stats?
programs you are currently using to burn dvds?
errors you recieve ?
i know the media but suggest you try ritek ridata discs ,prefferably -R TYPE.

Hi, thanks for responding. I have very little knowledge of
what I am trying to do, but I think I can answer the questions
you asked. My se is WIN XP, I have never had a problem with the
memorex but I will switch to a different brand. I'm not sure
which problem you were responding to, my first question involved
my DVDXCOPY, that was the missing play.dll file error I got.
Then after reading alot of posts on your forum I downloaded
the 21day trial of AnyDVD, thats when I got the error "Not
enough space on media", I realized after I posted my problem
that AnyDVD was not compressing the movie like my DVDXCOPY
did, so now I have also downloaded the trial version of
CLONEDVD2, if I can figure how to use these two tools I will
purchase them and remove my copy of DVDXCOPY altogether, I just
dont know if I'll be able to figure it out or not, I would
assume I need to run the AnyDVD first with my movie to remove
all the stuff that needs to be removed, the problem is as soon
as thats done, it tells me to insert a DVD, I am also using
NERO EXPRESS 6, so I dont know how I am supposed to use all
three and in what order or how to do it, I get the AnyDVD part
thats easy, but how do I get over to CloneDVD when its asking
me to insert a blank media. I know this probably sounds like
I am a total idiot, and when it comes to this stuff believe
me I am, any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated
You are the only one who has even responded and it is greatly
appreciated. Thanks very much.

ok you seem to have lots of software but not the knowledge of how to use them.
Slysofts anydvd is only used to allow you to bypass the copy protections that are on all commercially made dvds when you utilise programs like clone dvd etc. This program runs in the background when you use shrink/or clone
Ok heres a link to a free program which you can download.Let me know when you have it.

Thank you for your response, I realized late last nite
that AnyDVD was just a ripper and that the function
DVDCopy did of compressing the files was not a feature
so I went back to the forums and discovered I needed a
seperate program to do the compression part and I downloaded
Clonedvd2, it isnt in your list, is this one okay or should
I get one of the ones you suggested instead, anyway after
I downloaded the trial version I went back to the forums
and printed out the instructions for using it, and tried
the burn again and it worked, thanks for your input and help.
On a different issue altogether I have discovered a nasty
virus on my system that keeps redirecting me to websites
everytime I logon, so I guess the rest of my life is goin
to be devoted on trying to figure out how to get rid of it.
i think the nasty virus is nail.exe and I have tried everything
I could find, downloaded Hijackthis but of course I dont know
what to do with the scan results, they give you a message be
careful what you delete, so of course I am afraid to delete
anything in case I screw up my whole system. I saved my log
and will try to find something to help me determine what I
should and shouldnt delete. I also downloaded a program that
was supposed to remove it "Nail.exe" but it obviously didnt.
I ran regedit last nite and found the files under my search
assistand, deleted them and thought I was finally cured but
of course as soon as I logged onto the internet today the
ads stared popping up again, its driving me crazy, anyway
thanks again for your help, I think I will buy Clonedvd2
and AnyDVD, they worked really well. They will be well worth
the price.
Bye for now
