third party harddrive memory card backup help

is there any way to back up memory card to harddrive useing a third party hardrive my hardrive dont show up in browser like the original harddrive does but i can copy games to it using hd loader any help please

I've heard that it can be done with the PS2 OS... I've never tried it ,but it does have a backup memory card option look here http://ps2os.ps2world.it/ I remember seeing a post on it somewhere at that site....
