Backed up games freezing??

Hello everyone. I backed up true crime and it loads fine and plays fine until you play like three levels and then when it goes to load the fourth level you are playing it freezes while loading the board. What can this be caused by? I burned the disk at 2.4x so i dont think the burn speed had anything to do with this. It dosnt freeze on any specific level, but it happens once you have played like 3 levels or so. You can here the disk spinning and stopping and then spinning again, but the level never loads. any help is appreciated.

make sure you use good media when burning. TDK and Maxell, ritek, sony, verbatim.

but in your case, it sounds like you laser is getting weak. my laser died w/ dvd's, here is what it was doing, i put a game in and it would spin up and the stop and the spin up and then stop and so on. it got to a pt where the original games would not play.

what are you using to load back ups with
I know the older versions of swap magic had trouble
with that game. My 2.0 needed DVD Loader just to load it
Have you tried rebuilding the game?

no have not rebuilt the game maybe i shoule try that. I am using swap magic 3.6 and it loads without dvd loader. I hope the laser isnt getting weak, its fairly new and it plays my regular games and other backups just fine. I used fugifilm DVD+R to burn it.
