This is such a basic issue I'm a little embarrassed to post it:Tried copying dvd recorded by friend to a "dvd+" disc using "Copy DVD" selection from "Nero 6 Start Smart" "Copy & Backup" option. Program read source disc fine, but got error message ~"wrong type of disc" when inserted Memorex DVD+R destination disc. Isn't there anywhere in Nero menu to preselect media type you want copy burned to? I am a technological idiot, so if answer can just direct me to proper place offered in Nero's program options would be most appreciated.

Just make sure you have DVD chosen in the upper left hand corner, it may be set to CD.

I agree with arniebear, it appears you may have your StartSmart set to CD instead of DVD. Nero doesn't dicriminate between DVD+R & DVD-R discs, but if you're copying a DVD it MUST be set to DVD.
