Ok so a friend of mine with n x-box (go figure tryin to bash us again !)was tellin me about his brothers PS2 fucking up because he played DVD movies in it or something :S ? is this possible i have a version 7 Fat PS2, and he said taht he had to send it away to ontario to get it fixed i think it was lazer damage but would a dvd movie cause this ? since i heard this about a year ago i stopped playing DVDs in my ps2, but have always been a little sceptical, this doesn't sound to right to me, so i want some answers :) lol thanks alot guys :)

I don't think that dvd movies could hurt the ps2 becasue it is meant to play them, also the games are on dvd. I would not worry about dvds hurting your ps2.

He is full of it.
DVD's will not hurt your PS2
Other than playing games it was made to also play
DVD's and CD's.
It is an entertainment system, not just a game console
when he bashes you again just remind him that you didn't
need to spend $30 on a remote just to play DVD's like
you do with an Xbox.
