I haven't played PS2 online for awhile and we use a router to connect it to our cable modem. I tried to get on again lately and everytime it times out. I think something is going on with router anyway so I directly plug PS2 into Cable Modem and it still has a connection time out everytime. I don't have a clue what could be wrong. I even tried it with different PS2's the newer slim one and my old one with HD. The cable modem shows there is activity when it's trying to connect. I don't understand why all of sudden it just doesn't work anymore. Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!!!

plug the modem directly into the ps2 and detach the power from the router or modem and then plug it in again which should cause the device to reboot. This should re-register it and should fix the problem because with these devices sometimes usually with external modems you cant "hotswitch". Also make sure if your modem is connected to a pc or anything as such via USB remove the usb when you are connecting ethernet cable as the two cannot work at the same time.

LoL No Prob, I finally got everything hooked up now so that i can plug PS2 into my router and share net with comp lol I took 3 yrs of highschool computer class and I'm still clueless.
