Hey, im going out to buy a external dvd+-r drive. Now I can only spend like $100 so im kinda stuck with the cheaper ones. I know of a lite-on that is $70 but i dont know how good of a brand they are. Anyone have good experiences? I can go to best buy or office max so if any of you know about cheap ones there then clue me in.

I've been using a Lite-On internal drive, burnt hundreds of cds and dvds, no complaints whatsoever.

yes lite-on good and the only drive as standard with no riplock, also i just ordered a lite-on myself internal though...

the main thing is the ext housing they can cause hassles! if it has a ALI chipset too.
