Hi guys,

I've never had to ask a question on this forum before (It's normally already been answered) but I have a problem and I can't seem to find any concrete info on it

I have a Slim PS2 modded with a Maxtrix infinity (V1.54 firmware) and the diode fix.

It's been fine for approx 6 months but last night it stopped reading certain dics.

It now won't read DVD backups or Orig games (Have tried 3 orig), but it will read and load my Maaxdrive CD and my CDRWs

When the my pstwo tries to read the DVD it won't spin it up and it will shut itself off immdiately, no errors just powers off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go buy swap magic it is the latest thing that boots up burned games and the system dont need to bo moded

it's already modded, ballers...and he shouldn't need SM to boot originals.

I wasn't gonna reply and save him some dignity.. I actually found the answer deep in the FAQ for the board. Talking to my modder, it the protection fix kicking in for my Matrix Infinity mod due to the lens being broken.

Getting the laser unit swapped out tonight....
