i have had some sucess with dvd shrink! Backed up movies willl play on my Computer but none of my other dvd players (ie... Ps2, Phillps surround sound+dvd player). If someone could tell me what i did wrong that would be great?! thanks

1) Those stand alones don't like the plus format-try the dash format.
2) Those stand alones don't like that particular brand of blank media.Usually comes down to MID code.Use quality media.
3) Burned too fast-Keep burn under 4x.
4) Those stand alones may not like your burner.Burners will vary-meaning some burners backups will play everywhere and others have a harder time reading backups.A burner with the capability of booktyping helps,but some of them too seem to be weaker.A quality burner helps on this compatability on stand alones.
5) Problem with your burning software.Try another software.DVD Decrypter and Nero work well with DVD Shrink.Try the one that you aren't using to burn.
6) Firmware on that HP drive may need updated.Sometimes this can cause issues on stand alone players.

There are over a dozen more things that can be a possibility.

I have 5 DVD-RW burners including the HP 640c and know how some are very compatable and other burners like my hp are less compatable.
