I have played all my dvd's fine , but now after getting my ps2 back from my ex boyfriend it doesnt play anymore dvd's.
It will play all PS2 CD games but just not DVD's

I read about maybe playstaion mode is in PS1 or something like that
I dont know what he did .. please explain what I should try.

PS I tried to switch modes with holding the reset button till it turned blue , but it never did .. it just remained green

I have no idea what he could have done to make it
stop playing DVD's?
Unless he some how got the laser out of wack
then it can just be adjusted.

I can play PS2 CD's fine and also movie DVD's
It's just my backups for DVD's no longer work.

If it were the align of laser I guess No dvd's would work.

So what is it's problem , anyone heard of this before
