HD Advance and PS2 Network Adapter without HD

I'm wondering if I can buy an HD Advance disk and use it without buying a harddrive for my ps2, simply using the network adapter.

yo, how do you switch from game to game when using ps2 with hd avance?

Hd Advance gives you a splash screen on start up that lits the games on your HDD (by the names you gave them on install)
Just scroll down to the game you want to play and press X.
