Burnt DVD only works on some DVD players

Me and my friends made a movie and burnt many copies. But one of my friends has tried 3 different copies that work perfectly on my DVD player, but don't work on their DVD player. The files were AVI and burnt to a DVD+R disc. His DVD player is pretty new and plays MP3. Any advice on why it might not work? Thx - Amanda

I am assumeing that these Files were Converted to DVD format before burning them to DVD?? Because if the AVI files were just Burnt to a DVD as a Data DVD then most DVD Players will not Play it accept for DivX Enabled DVD Players.....

If this was a Proper DVD then the only reasons why I can think that it will not Play on all DVD Players is because not all DVD Players support Burned DVD Media or some don"t like some Brands of media or if the DVD was Burned at too high of a Speed some Picky DVD player might not play them...

It could be any one of many different reasons, it is best to Find out what type of DVD"s and what Brand of DVD"s your DVD Player Likes Best and Stick with that as not all DVD players will like all the Same Media....

Look at the box of the dvd player. Some don't play +r's
