Gooday fellas,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a little situation if run into.

I just installed the DUO 2se on my V9 PS2.
I have also done the Romeo fix for the laser voltage.

I booted up the PS2 for the first time and the menu came up.
I placed a disk inside... pushed eject(to close it) and the flippin screen went green.

Now everytime i turn it on... or push eject... it gives me a green screen... and nothing...

Could use the insight if you've got it.

Yeah,

As it turns out... the placement of the chip as shown made for really long wire connections. I checked that all the wires were solid and installed correctly... but I figure they were too long.

I had to tear it all apart and do it again.... and it seemed to work.
I guess long wires are a bad thing after all.

The new placement of the chip was on the lower left hand side of the board as shown above.
This kept a lot of the connections short.
