NormS or anyone else trying to get a ripper free copy: ispy already pointed out what you need to include in your email. But you also MUST request a RF copy. Unless things have changed. If you make any reference to the ripper version, they'll send you that canned message about not being able to support that product anymore due to a legal injunction, blah, blah. Simply say you have a licensed copy of DVD Xpress (of what you actually have), provide your licens # and password, and they should provide you with a link for the RF. I posted my email and response further back. Unless, of course things have changed in the past month. Good luck.

GoFish-As to the DVD eror: are you attempting to play a DVD that's a different region than PowerDVD is set for?
As for the aspi problem, go back to the adaptec site and see if you can find a utility called ForceASPI. Best I can come up with. Good luck.

GoFish- If this cropped up last week, and you have XP, maybe a system restore to the date things were working may fix it. In the meantime, I'd sugges Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware and a virus scan at http://www.pandasoftware.com . All free. It's difficult to say what caused what.

I,m not sure if its directly related, but its worth checking your ASPI.Version 1.7 is reputed to be more stable.Have just spoken to a mate who has the same problem, everything OK until he bought 3 DVD,s this week all new releases.I hope it solves your problem.Even if it dosn,t it,s one more thing eliminated as well as the blacklisted programs.
Good Luck ispy

I forgot, things I do before each rip/burn,disconnect from my network, disable screensaver, turn off Norton Anti Virus, run Ad-Aware 6 and lastly clean out your Temp folder, open My Computer,in the address bar type %temp% then click Go.You will be amazed what uneeded crap hangs about in there, DVDXCopy uses the temp to store files before burning.

I do suspect someone has given me a prize?
Played h trying to get the ASPI Drivers back in place and windows to recognized them, ended up with an older version, but they seem to work?
Then found that Norton was also screwed up so bad that I had to do an un-install then re-install? Presently updating my definitions, hopefully it can catch that critter and stomp on him?
Thanks to all,

Quote: I know how to remove the 3.2.1 logo
socon,
This is what the thread is about. "321Gone" will remove the backup warning. So will using RF versions.

It should work with the ripper versions. Read the very first post in this thread. It gives version history and what it works on.

Hey guys, haven't had to post in a while, as I don't really copy many DVDs. Well, once AGAIN, I have a problem. I finally got the RF version, 3.2.5, got 321 rip, and my fist burn was succesful. Well, I just went to back-up my Star Wars trilogy, clicked on the icon, the splash screen came up, then I heard a noise similar to the critical bling, and nothing happened. It says it's running in the processes, but not in the aplications of task manager. So does anyone know what's going on? Anyone els experienced or heard of this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Sure hope this thread isn't dead. =(
Thanks guys.
