Hi there, now the fact that i've signed up to a forum for advice should indicate the level of frustration that this is causing me!

I have ripped several Vob files with smart ripper ranging from 3.8-7.5 GB onto my NTFS external hard drive. All vob files play perfectly in various players. I am now trying to convert them using Super DVD ripper & ImToo DVD ripper (latest versions) to avi's so they take up less room and are quicker to convert via 3gp converter so I can watch them on my PSP.

I have done this loads of times however now whenever I try to convert any vob file with either of the DVD rippers the AVI output movie is always only about 70% of the original Vob length! When it scans the Vob file proir to conversion the correct movie length is displayed but when it processes it it always stops at around 70% conversion and proudly announces it's completed successfully! Arghhh!

I have updated ForceASPI, it's always set to 'do not split' in the options, both source and output drives are NTFS, it does this if I try converting into several formats including MPG4, VCD, SVCD, AVI etc...and I'm at my whits end as I have wasted hours partially converting DVD's!

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.

anyone?! I have tried a few more times and still I can only get 72.6% conversion from Super DVD ripper and imToo ripper from my single large VOB files. Raging Bull stops at 1 hour 22 mins where as is actually 2hrs 30! It's the same with appoc now...

Any suggestions?

hey great idea that...i never thought about doing that....in fact why not get rid of the forum and just 'guide' everyone? Jese, I was just asking for advice, none of your guides have helped. I will visit a more forthcoming forum. Cheers.
