Try Nero or DVD Decrypter
There should be nothing special to do.
But EA games can sometimes cause people problems.
What error is it giving you?

a disc read error is usually due to scratches on
the disc, or fingerprints.
Have you tried cleaning the disc and then giving it
another go?
Also i have heard that Nero does a better job with EA Games
than some other programs
But Alcohol 120% is one of the best, I just didn't feel
like paying so i use DVD Decrypter
Nero came free with my burner and i never use it unless
i want to rebuild a game, because Nero makes it so easy.

I don't think he got as far as making the disc
and putting it in the pS2
He said he was not able to make the image.
That is why i figure it was a problem with the disc.

i think the source of your problem is the actual original disc.
what u can to find out for sure about this problem is go rent the same game, and try it. i dont think this game have any special copying procedures you need to do because i have done it with just simply making an image then burn.

so, just try renting another copy of it and give it a shot and let us know what happens.
