Hi all I've always kind of lurked around these forums, but finally had a question I couldn't find an answer for by just searching so I had to register..

Anyway, A friend of mine downloaded some seasons of this English Commedy called black books. They came in RATdvd format, so she decrypted them and now they appear to be just regular dvd files. At first I tried using nero to burn the files just to a regular dvd, but for whatever reason, when watching the show at specific points (only on dvd players, not on computesr though which is odd...anyone know why this might happen?)

So, I've decided that I would be happy just having divx files of the episodes. I tried to use virtual dub to convert and compress the vob files, but whenever I do this it actually takes the widescreen video and smushes it into a fullscreen ratio'd mess. I probably just don't have the settings configured correctly, but does anyone have any suggestions ?
