DVD Player won't play DVD's, Will Play CD's

I hope someone can solve this one, I can't afford a new DVD player with the curent "energy crisis" (read: Bush getting rich). Anyway, I digress, I have a Kawasaki 5 disk DVD/CD/AM/FM/Suround Sound/pain in the @$$ player. :-) About three weeks ago aformentioned POS stopped playing both original and burned DVDs. I have no clue why, it was not subjected to any type of punishment, abuse, or random act of tourture that I am aware of. It will however play both original and burned CD's. I tried a lens cleaning disk on it this evening to (sadly) no avail. I also tore the whole thing down, blew it out with ca and cleaned the lense manually. Still getting jack. Any thoughts or suggestions on this would be great as I really want to see White Noise BEFORE it comes on brodcast television. Thanks all in advance.
