A little Newbie Help with Burning Backups

Ok i just finished copying a game on my HD. Im about to write it on a disk but i dont know what to open .MDS file or .ISO. Which file should i write to? Is there a list of games that tells me to either open .MDS or .ISO? PLMK thanks

Alright i just did Spiderman 2 and burned a MDS backup. Now when i do swap magic with my flip top it wont work. I put in the DVD Rom Swap Magic disc and put in the spiderman 2 but it says its not a PS2 Disc. Please help thanks

I suspect there is an issue with the media you're using. So, what kind of media did you used to do your backup and is it a DVD-R or DVD+R? What speed did you used to backup? What version is your PS2 console?You said you have a Flip Top and Swap Magic, so how did you swap it? Did you press the eject button? or open the Flip Top? Were you able to get to the main booting menu of Swap Magic?

the tutorial i gave you a link to is the way
it is done. If you followed that then the problem
is most likely with the media or your swap method.
And sometimes in rare cases your burners firmware.
It is a fairly simple process. so it is hard to mess it up.
answer the questions above by Alkohol and we may be
able to help you better.
