When burning previously ripped dvds (Shrink)with Decrypter, I'm getting a lot of read errors after clicking Ignore All. I haven't completed a burn (I cancel the burn after about 75 read errors)because I don't want to waste any disk. The original disk are cut-rate and won't play in all of my players, that's why I'm reburning to a better quality disk -- Verbatim. The question is, How will the read errors effect the burn if I complete the process? Is there an exceptable level of read errors that won't effect playback. Thanks.

If you are getting that many read errors you will probably get a bad product. You are trying to clean up what is already not good to begin with, if you put bad in you get bad out. Also, try to keep your burn speed down to 4x this will cause less disk errors. And make sure the firmware on your burner is up to date this will help in media recognition and burn speed.

What's your burner brand name and model #?
How fast were those backups burned when You did them the first time?
What's the MID codes on those backups you are trying to re-rip?
How are you trying to re-rip them? DVD Decrypter ISO read and ISO write?

Re-ripping backups that were on poor quality media/and or too fast burn speed will be quite difficult to re-rip.Too many errors, and you won't be able to rip it to back it up again.
