Is it possible to copy a music CD to a DVD disc? The idea being I could get many CD's on a single DVD disc. If so, how would I go about doing it? Thanks.

You would rip the songs from the cd and then burn them to a dvd.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it

Would I have to change the type of file?

You probably would want to rip the music into mp3 format. Most ripping programs will let you choose the output type. You do lose quality when you convert to mp3 though.

yes you do lose quality but you won't notice it unless you try to convert back to the origonal format. When you do burn your dvd be sure to burn it as a data disc. I've only done one but that's how i did it and it worked fine in the computer.

Hi
First rip your music to mp3 format using music-matchjukebox v10. then write it to dvd using Nero 7.Go to data and not mixed mode. It works on both computer and dvd players. To travalon you don't lose quality when music is ripped. You use this setting 128kb cd quality. 44100 audio stream and stereo not mono.

hmmm... I had heard you have to use 196 or better to keep quality.

Do you want to rip to WAV or MP3. WAV is better sound quality but MP3 is smaller in size.

@ djlexus
When you convert a CD to any format apart from WAV and FLAC you lose quality. And also music-matchjukebox v10 isn't the best program for ripping CD's to MP3. Exact Audio Copy is. When EAC is used with the LAME plugin high quality sounding VBR (Variable Bit Rate) MP3's can be made. Follow this guide to get started = http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
