I recently installed the new slim kit pro v3.6, backup games work fine after trial and error of course :). My only problem is after 10 or 15 minutes the system seems to make a really loud noise, gets pretty hot, but doesn't affect gameplay(this happens when I play backups, dvd original movies, and ps2 originals)so it's not the type of media I use which is MCC and TDK, this happens when ever the system is running anything period. Just wondering if this could lead to a major problem and also what I could do to fix this annoying sound, thanks people

not sure what that could be but i would surely
check into fixing that. Mine is quite as a mouse
no matter how long i play it for.

Same here Steimy. Ive had my ps2 running for hours at a time, backups and originals and i never hear a sound ,except from the game audio :)

Does that come with a fliptop and did you replace it? I have heard of people having problems like that and the cause was when they insatlled the fliptop lid they tightend the screws to tight and it would not let the disc seat right in the tray so try lossing the screws a little and tighen them till there snug see if that makes a diffrence.

I think he means that he has the slimline v12 with the slimtools larrylje. I would suggest looking over the tools to check if they are installed correctly.
