check this forum link http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/109289

It explains all you need to know...
You may need this: http://www.exploitstation.com/files/TITLE.rar
Which is a title.db file that has just about every PS1 game so you don't have to make your own.

Also: http://www.exploitstation.com/files/elfs/TOXIC48P.rar
which is an HDLoader based on the toxicOS.2. It can handle big HD's, with 42 bit support..
Not sure about the DVD9's but they are kinda rare and I'm sure there are other expoits out there that can help you there....
Hopefully I have been helpful...

With the bin/cue files, they need to be burned. Use alcohol or Discjuggler, or another appropriate burning program.
As for the memcard exploit, the file from siirlabs, has a HDloader built in.

I run a different one, which is very simple to change. I use the one based on the ToxicOS v.2 which is pretty nice.

as far as running Swap magic off of the HD, I'm not sure, but I really don't see why not...
But, with the HDloader, if the disc isn't an original, it will ask you to insert a ps2 disc. Not sure how to get around that...

What I do to install backups on my HD, is take the HD out of the PS2, and hook it up to my computer, then use winhiip to transfer the files over.

Hopefully I gave you some help...
I don't know much about all of this, but I will definately share what I do know..
