Ok I was backing up a box set of mine and I realized I have 1 episode thats supposed to be on another dvd.

How do I take that 1 file from the dvd and add it to the other 4 files on the correct dvd?

Is there a way to just rip it and rip the other 4 episodes from the other dvd then burn it all together the way it should have been in the first place?

thanx

If you've already burnt the dvd with the other 4 files in it, there's no way you can "add" that missing episode. Essentially, you need to start over again and burn all together. If you still have the other 4 files in your HD just reauthor with DVD-Shrink and add that missing episode. You are using DVD-Shrink, right?

Since you have the DVD's you backed up all you have to do is re-rip these and then compile the DVD you want. You can do this using Shrink, however you will loose your Menu. Here are guides on doing this.

If you do not have your originals then use your copies and rip those.

Maybe im not stating my point correctly, let me try again.

I was backing up my Collection of a TV series the other day and I accidentally put 4 episodes of DVD 6 in the series on 1 DVD instead of the 5 episodes that were on the DVD. I put the 5th episode from that dvd on a seperate DVD because I didnt know it was an episode.

Now I have 2 dvds, 1 with episode 1-4 and the second with episode 5 which should originally have been on the same DVD not split up...

I let a friend of mine go on vacation with my originals because I backed mine up.

How do I rip the DVDs so I can put them all together the way they should be ..

Thank you

Did you read the guide that were given above. You rip your copies with Decrypter and then compile your DVD from your ripped files.

You need to re-rip the disk that has 1-4 back to your hard drive, and then rip the disk that has 5 to your hard drive. From there, use the shrink as was stated above on how to merge episodes 1-5. You will do this by reauthoring from the hard drive.

See the link to the guide in a previous post.
