Why is it, that whatever program i try to use to convert a dvd to mpeg format, that when asking the target drive, no matter what drive I select it only wants to use the C drive?

I have 2 other very large drives that are meant for actions like this, yet it still likes my C drive best, even if I choose a different drive.

Any Idea's folks?

Most software picks the default drive as the drive that the OS is being installed on. This drive is also windows default drive. A programmer can specify which drive the program "like" as you mention. However, it is not safe to do this because not many users have multiple drives besides the fact that your likeness and others' likeness might not be identical.
Nonetheless, if you specify a different target drive correctly (follow the software rules), the software should use the drive you specify. Otherwise, it is a bug in the software.

Try this 1 click DVD to mpeg or Image program call EazyVCD http://members.eezi.net.au/~phatjeff/ simply and easy to use. It works for me and I believe it should work for you as well.
