Ok first I would like to say hi to the forum. second I would like to say that Im not trying to post a thread that has been posted a million times before but I did a search on it first and could not find my exact problem although i found some like it, and even tried the trouble shooting tips those people where given to see if it would fix my own..
Ok now that thats said here is my problem
I coverted an avi. file to a format to burn to dvdr. I have done this before using the guide off of this site with the following tools:
AVIcodec
Tmpge
IFOedit
It worked fine before but i recently tried to convert a file that burned alright but when I play it Im getting no audio just a picture.I have played the movie both on my comp with PowerDVD and in my standalone DVD player
I have tried divfix and it found no error
I have tried different converter programs :
DVD Santa (said audio file was not the right kind)
WinAvi (love the speed of this one but no audio)
DVD shrink (would not load the file because of audio)
I also tried instaling an ac3 codec but the avi plays fine with sound
on my comp so i did not really think this was the problem
here is the avicodec info for the file maybe some of you vets can tell me what im doing wrong:
File : 350 MB (350 MB), duration: 0:44:10, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 68 %
Video : 289 MB, 916 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 640*368 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
Audio : 60 MB, 192 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, Supported
I feel like an idiot because i can not figure this out if any more info is needed or if you know what the prob sounds like please let me know. In advance I appreciate any help that you all can give.
