I have burned several movies using dvdshrink and decrypter and have never had a problem. However, after burning Sin City, i found that it doesn't play on my stand alone dvd player and when i play it on my computer, it has no sound. Every other movie i've burned has worked great on my stand alone dvd player, can anyone think of a reason why Sin City won't work? Any advice would be appriciated.

I read on the AD forums that this particular movie has DTS sound as the default soundtrack which is highly unusual. Maybe you selected the wrong soundtrack or your DVD players cannot play DTS sound. Just a thought.

I'm not sure whats wrong. I have all the correct audio streams clicked on and all of the extras and menues have sound. the only thing with no sound is the movie itself??

hi
in dvd shrink take a screnn grab (of all audio) and post here! upload to imageshack then post link...
or list all audio for the whole dvd not the copy!
Nothing here to see, move along folks.

this movie does have problems with the sound .doing the "movie only" with CloneDVD 2 and AnyDVD caused me problems but was able to play with the remote on my dvd player and it worked. so i backed up the COMPLETE disc up with CloneDVD 2 and AnyDVD and it played fine.so try doing the complete disc.

I RECOMEND DVD2One AND WHEN CHOSING THE AUDIO PICK THE 2CH ONE ONLY
AND THE MOVIE WILL WORK FINE-----ITS JUST AN AUDIO ISSUE--ONCE YOU GET IT BURNED (caps sorry sleepy i am) just change audio on remote when you get back up working

I ripped it in file mode using Decrypter then ran it through VOB blanker to get rid of all but the menues and movie. THEN I ran it through shrink pulling out the audio I didn't want and it worked fine.

i found out that it was copying fine from the get go. what the problem was is that i couldnt play it in DTS 5.1 sound. just had to set the dvd player to dolby 5.1 and the sound was fine.

ts1982 - I was just about to say the same thing - For people who are having sound issues with SIN CITY - just hit the AUDIO button on your dvd player remote. I do not know why that movie has DTS as the auto sound - even thought most dvd players have the ability of the digital sound OUTPUT, a person has to have the actual equipment to go with it *L* Most folx dont.

ts,
I almost threw mine away too - I was thinking to myself - I DO THIS ALL THE TIME (I am an avid collector so I back up quite a few of my movies - between nieces nephews and little cousins and thier grimmy hands) Its easier to backup an original than have to replace it *L*
And I was trying to retrace my steps thinking I had unclicked or clicked - who knows what - then I was like - let me just hit audio *L* and when I got back to the DTS - I saw the square say DTS AUDIO - and thats when I knew I had not done anything crazy *L* (shaking head - they need to stop playin') *L*
