Just modded my sons V7 PS2 with a DSM4 EZI Pro. Everything tested green with the test chip. Unfortunately I can't get any type of game media to work now. It won't recognize any disk. I dont get the BSOD or RSOD but I do get to the NO DATA, READING DISC SCREEN but nothing happens. I've already attempted re-adjust the laser but that did nothing. The system is at least 3 to 4 years old so I'm just wondering if the laser is going bad. Any help out there on what else I can do would be greatly appreciated.

well, if it played games fine before you installed the
chip i would say it is not the laser.
Here is the best place to get help with DMS chip problems.

Thanks for the advice. I spent about a week trying to trouble shoot it myself but my time back home ran out. So, I packed it up and took it back to Iraq with me and I let the Iraqi thrift shop on base fix it. He didn't say exactly what was wrong, except that the laser was fine and that something else was broken and it cost me $25 to fix it.
