I have a plextor av100u and i recorded from my xbox using vdub. when i move a player fast, lines appear like ripping of the screen. Why is that?

These are Horizontal Lines?? If so it sounds Like Interlaceing which is Normal and will only show up on your PC Monitor because your Monitor is not made to display interlaced Material but on a TV set it will look Normal....If you are Only going to watch these Files on your PC then it would be a Good Idea to de-interlace them useing the De-interlace Filter in V-Dub but if you are eventually going to Play these on your TV set then leave them alone as they should look Normal on your TV set....
