I've just stupidly "intialized" 2 of my ps2 hard drives in the disk management place of windows xp. Now I'm trying to see if there is a way to recover them before I lose my games I've collected. I've seen some hard drive recovery programs but I doubt they work with ps2 hard drive files. This is my last chance before I reformat with WinHiip.

This is exactly what I've just done. Did you ever find a solution?

:(

That's not really the reply I was hoping for. Bugger.

I can load up winHIIP and can see the games still on the hard drive but it just wont access the disk in a normal way, nor will it repair it. So basically the files are still there but neither windows nor the ps2 will read it. :/

EDIT: It seems the guy who wrote WinHIIP, GadgetFreak, might be able to help but my timing sucks. It seems he's gone to Africa for at least 3 months and he's left a note saying he has no idea when he might have net access.
