Standalone player for straight AVIs?

Is there a standalone player that will play AVI written merely as data? According to AVIcodec the AVIs I want to burn use XVID Mpeg-4 and OpenDivx v4. I'm thinking of getting the Philips 642. The one I'm worried about is xvid.
