Component Cables with Modded PS2

So Basically I am wondering if there is any problems when using the Sony brand component cables with your PS2? I tried the cables on both of my TV's (New 42" DLP and old 27" CRT) and on neither of them it works. I checked several times to make sure they were in the right way, and I get audio just no picture.

So exactly what cables do you have? Do you have a PS2 output cable that ends in the Red/Green/Blue video plus the audio? Or do you have the standard yellow + audio output and you're using an adapter to Demux the yellow composite signal into the RGB component signals?

I have the output cables that are Blue/Green/Red plus the audio Red/White. They are the "offical" sony brand bought them at the local futureshop.
I was bascially wondering if anyone else has had problems with the cables if not I will exchange them.

Special PS2 output dongle on one end, component on the other end... I haven't personally used it, but I have a friend who did. There should be zero problems, especially since it's a Sony part. Exchange it.

try to setting your ps2 componet output, there are 2 options you can choose.

I use the cables the only problem i had was the setup. u must change your setting when you first turn it on under system config. componet video out.

I too have used them for years without a problem, it isprobably the ooption in the config that is messing you up.
