Iv been having some problems with AR max. I followed instructions perfectly and yet i still cant get the damn program to read mp3's and avi files on my external HDD. OK so the max media player in AR max is suppost to automatically detect media from either a CDr or a Flash drive( i use an external HDD Enclosure). But it wont read any files i have on there. I know for a fact that AR max can detect my HDD cause i backed up my memory card data to my HDD in the memory max section. Anyone who can help me please reply. Thanks

Have you converted the mp3 and AVI files with the ar max media disc for pc before putting them on the hdd? if not, that might be the problem...

I figured out the problem. My HDD only had 1 partition which was FAT32 for my ps2 games. The AR Max can only read USB storage devices that has a FAT partition not FAT32. So i backed up my HDD and reformated it to have 2 partitions. One with games(FAT32) and one with media(FAT). NOw it works but in order for windows XP to create a FAT partition one partition has to be less than 4 gigs. SO my media file is only 4 gigs. Is there a way to partition my HDD so that it will be under FAT but have more than 4 gigs?

I've tried this - but it doesn't work (i've tried 2GB to start with). U can make any size FAT partition you like using PartitionMagic 8.0.

Are you getting mp3s, movies etc. to load through ARMAX media player, detecting the drive as a "usb pendrive"?
