Hello everyone im having a hell of a time backing up splinter cell pandora tomarow. I tried to search the threads without any luck. What do I have to do to get this game to work. What patch do I need? also im having a hell of a time rebuilding games is this what I have to do in this case. if so what is the best thread to figure out how to rebuild them. Also I have backed up black hawk down and it works great and loads great except for afetr a while the music skips in the background and will eventually freeze up. Im using verbatim disks should I just try re burning it?

Thanks

What are you using to boot with? Swap Magic or Modchip?

Here is how I duplicated Pandora Tomorrow. If you need more "info", PM me, then we can go from there.

Tools needed are as follows:
WinImage
Disc Id Finder
DVD Decrypter
ISOBuster.
DNAS ID

- Inserted Game Disk
- Let DVD Decrypter create an image of it.
- Removed Game disc from computer

Now that I had the image created, I had to determine which image files inside of the game, if any, had a "cd checker". Have you ever went online with one of your games, loaded your network info, then saw that DNAS Authentication screen? Well, any game after 2003 has one or more files that have that checker embedded. It's looking for the Disc Id number. You have to first, discover if any of the image files have a disc checker embedded, and, if so, you have to patch those files with the actual disc ID from the retail cd. Here's how you do it.

My example will show the Swap Magic 3.6 routine I follow.
1. Insert Swap Magic DVD disc.
2. Powered on PS2
3. At the menu, removed the disc, and inserted my Disk ID Finder
disc that I made.
4. That disc told me to insert the game disc. To do so, I pressed
the eject button to stop the current disc from spinning. I
then removed that Disc ID Disc, and inserted the Pandaro retail
disk.
5. Pressed X as required.
6. Three categories of numbers were revealed, and the first one,
the Disc ID number is the one that needs to be written down.
7. Now, with that number handy, I returned to my computer.
8. Opened ISOBuster, and had it open my pandora.iso file. I then
had it only extract the image files found inside of it to a
new folder.
9. I found 6 image files in there. 3 are in the root folder and
3 are in the modules folder. However, only one of them has
the ID checker embedded, and it's the DNAS300.img file.
10. How did I know that? I ran the DNAS ID program I have, and
had it scan each .img file until it told me "checker found."
Once it found it, in the same window, I entered the 5 hex
numbers that I saw on the tv screen. Then I clicked the
patch button.
11. Closed ISObuster and the DNAS ID patcher.
12. Open WinImage.
13. Had it open my Pandora.iso file.
14. At the top, I clicked "image/inject." I then pointed to the
DNAS300.img file (the file I just patched). I asked "overwrite"
and I clicked yes.
15. Since that was the only file that was needed to be patched,
I closed Winimage. And, when you close Winimage, the ISO is
auto rebuilt for you on the flash.
16. Finally, I re-opened DVD Decrypter, and had it burn the
pandora.iso back to blank dvd.

Once the game was burned, I loaded it on my PS2, selected Multiplayer, select ubisoft, went through the network loading portion, and then came to the DNAS Authentication screen. Success!!! It passed with flying colors.

You can find the Disc Identifier and the DNAS Patcher at PS2info.com.
