I am having a bit of trouble creating a working backup of episode 3. I have searched these forums only to find proof of others being able to back this game up without problems.
I have tried copying the disk directly with alcohol 120 as well as rebuilding the game with DVD decrypter, cd/dvd generator, iso buster and gdvd4-iml2iso. In both instances I end up with a backup that seems to work fine until I die - I then freeze at a loading screen. I have attempted to copy from a different disk, but I still end up with the same problem. Has anyone else had this problem before? Thanks.
I am using swapmagic 3.6 with a fliptop case and fujifilm DVD-R.

When you rebuit the game with CD/DVD Generator, did you click the "volume" button, and put in Slus for the first box, followed by the 5 digit number for the game? If your version is PAL, you would put in SLES followed by the 5 digital number for the game. Also, for the Producer name, you have to put in: Playstation. I've left that step out a few times only to run across the problem you are having.

Yes, I double checked to make sure I didn't put in the wrong information for both of those entries at that point. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has successfully backed up this game who can tell me what procedure they may have used.

That's why I have responded, because it is one of the games I have successfully backed up.

Thanks for all the info. I'm still coming up with the same problem, so I think I'll try different media.
