Hi there,

I installed the DVDMaestro v.2.9015 together with Cinemaster 2000 codec. My preview during a regular movie works fine. However, when I have motion menus, I can't seem to make the video show up. (It had worked before I reinstalled my Windows XP).

I think it has to do with some sort of Codec in the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What you need to do is double click your menu. Make sure the Menu window is maximized and click on "Video Monitor". It will automatically launch the menu navigator and play the motion menu.

I do not remember if DVD Maestro used to play the video during normal navigation for me before, but now it only plays them when clicking on "Video Monitor".

Hi JaguarGod,

Thanks for this great tip! I wish I have posted this question earlier as it took me a day poking around to the find the same answer. Your post confirms it nicely for me.

So you are a finance major ? how do you like it. I have an accountant and a .NET programmer by trade.

Finance is pretty good. The only thing is that nobody expects anyone to know anything. All professors teach is how to use a finance calculator, which I do not even own (I only own a normal calculator). Our lectures on mortgages are something like "press n then enter 30 then press r and enter 5 press p and enter 200,000 and press enter". Since I do not have a calculator, I had to derive a bunch of formulas myself and when it came test time, the professor had no idea how to grade my exams. My answers were always a bit off from the calculator answers since I did not round until after I got a final answer.

How is accounting going for you? I rememeber my accounting classes being a lot of work. I would assume that this is a stressful career. Also, what is a .NET programmer? I am not familiar with that. I just know that I had to install .NET framework, or something like that, for one of my programs (I think Sony Vegas).

Hi,

The thing about finance and the type of anuity calculations you're talking about has a lot to do with the time value of money. Same goes with leasing vs buying. Thus, if we are talking about even periodic payments (ie, ordinary simple anuity), then the formula is straight forward, Don't forget to add an extra payment if you are talking about payments that are happening at the first of the month, like rent, lease payment etc. Given that we are not living in a perfect world, often times we are dealing with un-even cashflows, end of life savage values etc.... Then the best way is to deal with each types of cashflows separately, then add it all up at the end.

Accounting is different from finance because accounting is like politics, same goes with taxation. You do what the handbook tells you to do. .NET programming is programming within the .NET plateform, like C, C++, Java etc.

Hope you will do well in your course and your career.
