I bought a 100 pk of 2x Ritek @ less $1 each from shop4tech. They are listed to work with the drive w/ firmware 1.31. I installed correct firmware but still get DVDs that are corrupt near end of movie burning with Prassi or Nero. If anyone has any suggestions would appreciate it.

is this with burning at 1x & 2x speed?

is it only with this brand or have you tried other`s?

if u know where to look , get a copy of (VOB instantcd+dvd) it works for me far better than nero or prassi.

are these discs deep purple or a light purple i.e.(deep purple = (geo3 dye) made by rytek = superb for dvd movie backup and ps2 backup or light purple = rubbish its as simple as that. i dont even rate them for ps2

I have burned at 1 and 2X times usin Nero & Prassi. I have used TDK & Maxell w/ no problems just tryin to find a cheaper disk that works. The Riteks I have are deep purple BTW.
