dvd santa problem

i am trying to convert my .avi files to dvd using dvd santa.the source file plays fine but when i convert it and burn to disc.there is a green horizontal stripe running across the screen.has anybody else encountered this problem?
please help

Try encode with VSO DivXtoDVD (free version) to see if things are better:
