I'd say get the dms4 pro, but i can't say wether or not it's better than the matrix chip, you'd have to compare the specs for both chips and make your own decision.
The DMS chip can auto patch dual layer images for hard drive use, and after looking at the new pro flash ToxicOS .4 I would say its your best bet for hard drive games.
If you are planing on reading burned dvds, then the matrix would be my prefered choice.
I have both chips - DMS4 Pro in a V10 and Matrix Inf. in a V12 - they pretty much have identical specifications. However, when it comes to installation, I think the Matrix Inf. was much easier to install then the DMS Pro. But yeah like the others have said the choice is yours.
my bro has MX infinity, it runs perfectly with burned games, my friend has DMS, for PS2 with HDD its the best choice, but make your own decision for what you want to use it...
Just to let you know dms doesnt support playstation reality media player, thats why the hate dms,(reality media player is to make you view jpegs , mp3,and movies(.avi))
i have matrix and it works great
