Hello ....

I would like to ask some questions...

1. Where can i get free site to download magic swap cd
2. do i just need that magic swap disc if i dont want to mod my PS2
3. I have dvd decrypter ... does it matter any version ?
4. how can i burn PS2 original game to DVD 4.7 GB disc?

Your help is much appreciated....

You need the real version of swap magic a downloaded one will not work unless you have another method of booting it. If you get swap magic then yes that's all ya need to play backups (well you will need a slidetool or a fliptop), any version of dvd decrypter should be fine, most games are 4.7gb or lower so most don't have problems getting backed up apart from DVD9 games which swap magic can't load.

Sorry but the above is only 98% correct
you will need a slidecard or fliptop with Swap Magic
That is if you have an older (chunky) PS2
with the slim you have no slidecard option.
For a slidecard you really don't have to "mod"
you PS2 to the point where it would void the warranty
you just have to remove the faceplate from the DVD Drawer.
Which can easily be put back on if needed.
I would just buy the Swap Magic discs and avoid extra swapping
if you do not have an original, then downloading one will
do you know good because you will not have a way to boot it.
most PS2 games are DVD based so you will use the DVD swap magic
much more than the cd swap magic, but you get them both
when you buy them.

Haha, yeah. My friend has a slim PSTwo, and I "modded" it with random objects. :) I used toilet paper and straws and construction paper and such. Good fun. Haha. It works though. You just gotta make sure those censors are covered.

i have an early version of PS2 .. you know the CHUNKY one ...
so i just need the swap disc and boot my PS2 and off we go ??

i dont need other hardware stuff right ??

How does the boot disc works ?? do i have to put it everytime i wanna play DVD-R game or one time only ... ?


and one last thing ... can anyone tell me where i can download some PS2 game online ? or is there no such of thing ?

Well you will still need to buy or make a slidecard
to use with your Swap Magic. Here is a link

there is a tutorial for making a slidecard.
any store card or old credit card will do, just follow
the instructions and cut one out.

as far as how Swap Magic works:
yes, you need to put it in every time you load a back up
game. In the easiest terms:
Games are pressed and have an area on them that a burner
just can not copy. This is why you can't just stick them
in and play them on your PS2. The Swap Magic gets around that
and tricks the PS2 into thinking it is an original.
movies on the other hand are not pressed and you can back them up
and play them with no modding needed or boot discs.
You can download games, but it is against forum rules for
anyone to link you to where. Do a bit of searching on
the subjest because there is more to it then just downloading
one and burning it to a disc.
