At what speed should CD based PS2 games be burned at?

I have the new slim ps2 by the way. I burn always dvd's at 4x and never had a problem. But just wondering about cd one's.

When burning onto CD's, I also generally burn at 4x.

how can i know a game is cd or dvd based?Sorry if this is a stupid question.

It should say right on the disc itself your backing up if it is CD or DCD Rom.

If you have problems getting your PS2 to play the backup CD-rom you can change them to DVD-ROM and they load better. I have had that problem so I always convert my CD-ROM based games to DVD-ROM games.

wth i burn mones at 2x, but 40x doesnt mess up the game or make it lag or anything....Im burning games at 40x now ,lol ill save a LOT of time
