I have Version 4.0.3.8 and everything seems to be working fine, but once the DVD is done burning and i put it in my DVD player or computer there seems to be a disk error. Its like dvd xcopy went through all the steps but it did not burn disk. Checking the disk says that the disk is full. Any suggestions or resolution on what might be the problem?

sounds like your DVD player doesn't like your discs. Try to play it in your computer, using the same drive you used to burn it. If it plays fine, then your player just doesn't like your discs.

Well mune works fine now, but I had the same problem that you have.I was using dvd x copy on my older computer with an old intel celeron processor and it would would burn the disc but it would never play in my dvd player.I have been using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink up until I built my new system and it works fine on this computer and plays in my dvd player. Is your computer old? what kind of system are you running?
Is it crap or is it memorex?

If you like dvd x copy then you should like dvd fab express/gold.It works just like dvd x copy and it runs good on older systems.I like dvd x copy other than the back up screen I wish I knew how to get rid of that screen.
Is it crap or is it memorex?

I meant your DVD player doesn't like the brand of disc or type of disc (+/-). Whether or not the burner burns to them is a whole different story.
But check out what was also suggested about trying different programs. DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter are both free, so it can't hurt to try them.

DVD Xcopy will burn at max speed, and also to the edge of the disk. If you have questionable media, it will come out with errors that you standalone might be picking up on. Instead of burning with Xcopy burn with another program such as Nero if you have it. Let Xcopy go through its process and then do not close your program, instead browse to where your output file is on you hard drive through My Computer and then open Nero use Nero Express and then add all the files, you can then control what the burn speed is, this may make a difference. This will not solve your edge burn problem though, for that you would have to use better media. Also as suggested check your burner firmware and make sure it is up to date.
