Ok i have just downloaded a PS2 Game and it has 24 .RAR files and each says Part 1, part 2, and so on. What shud i do? when i extract the files in each one it extracts a .MDF and .MDS File. Do i just extract the files from 1 .rar and put the .MDS on the DVD+R? Thanks

you should only have to extract the first WinRAR file and it should unzip the ISO or whatever file it extracts to and just burn that. if it is an MDS MDF file load up the MDS file in DVD Decryptor and burn the file it will load up the MDF file to burn.

Make sure you choose the First file in the RAR archive. If it is
rar.1
rar.2

or

rar.001
rar.002

always click on the first file which would be rar.1 or rar.001 in the examples above.

You should not have to unzip every single zip file. CHOOSE THE FIRST FILE. and it should extract all them into 1 big file.

When you Burned it What speed did you burn it at? Always burn 4x or less.

And make sure you are using good media.

If your using swap magic

If its a PAL game and you have a NTSC system to choose to boot it as a NTSC mode.

Vice versa if you have a copy of NTSC and on a PAL system to play it in PAL mode.

@hursty

I have had alot of MDS MDF files extracted out on downloaded games and have used Decryptor to burn the MDS file and it workes perfect for me.

I know Decryptor cant burn just a MDF file cause I tried that and it didnt work but if I select the MDS file with the MDF file in the same folder then it burns correctly. So it would seem the MDS file is like a Cue file that gets the information from the MDF file.

Glad you got it to work.

So you must have a NTSC system and a PAL game. Which means you need to have the swap magic in NTSC video mode.
