Help. I Broke the part that connect the fan plug to the board

While installing the dms ezi chip I managed to break the part that connects the fan plug to the motherboard. Is there hope to fix this. I was wonder could I hold the plastic piece that broke off the board and put superglue on it? The ps2 is v10.

Did you pull the adapter out of the solder pools?...If so check on the bottom of the adapter and you should see 3 little wires, if not then you can solder the wires from the fan directly to the board to repair.

If you just broke the plastic piece, then yes super glue it back on, clean it up with an exacto knife and you should be in working order again.

ouch!! sounds dogy ...bet ur wishing u got some1 else to do it for you...well let me into a little secret i broke mine from the inside glued it slightly back together sed it worked gave it to the man 2 put the mod chip in and he didnt realise and ' broke it ' so he gave me a NEW ps2 :D:D FREEEE

The super glue worked so far. After an hour or so no problems.

I did the same thing when isntalling my DMS chip, so I wired the fan up to one of the USB ports on the front of the case.

Here's a link to the instructions I wrote up, if the superglue method doesn't hold up.
