i just read the tutorial given on http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/15105
i only want to know if after backing up the cd, i can play it on my pc or does it have to be a ps console?
does anyone know what changes, if any, will be made to the ps3 cds? i know a little about the console but not a whole lot.

blueboy4 if you want to play a ps1 game on the pc

you will need a cyberpad emulator

go here www.emulator-zone.com it also has net play on the emulator you can play anyone online

its 10 times better then having a regural psx

the loading is way faster and the net play is awsome thats the only differents

The backups you create using the above tutorial will only play on your PS2 console, not on your PC. (unless you have some sort of emulation software installed)

As far as the PS3 goes, the chosen format for that system is Blu-Ray so stay tuned for backup info once the system is released in 2006.

EDIT: Sorry.....thought you were taling about PS2 backups.....not PSOne.

ps3 i would wait a while until a mod-chip comes out for it

after that the games wont be has much for a blank disc and you will have a whole bunch of ps3 games to play

of course its the same way to copy a psx or ps2 cd-r
