Well unless I'm missing something, that is what you should have.
The AUDIO_TS folder will be empty and the VIDEO_TS should have something like this:
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_0.IFO
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VIDEO_TS.BUP
Do you have something similar?
Shrink 3.2 is pretty much ready to go with the default settings.
Here's how I have mine set:
Edit -> Preferences
Preferences tab:
Target DVD size: Mine is set to: Custom - 4474MB.
Set yours around 4300MB. I know from experience I can burn Taiyo Yuden media a bit larger than normal. If you have problems completing burns to the edge of the disc then change from the default setting of DVD-5 to custom then reduce the size of the disc.
I have the "Automatically open VIDEO_TS subfolders" box checked. No others checked.
Preview tab:
Top box checked
Stereo
System Default Renderer
Output Files tab:
All the boxes checked
Stream Selections tab:
Audio: All Languages; AC3 or LPCM
Subpicture: All Languages
Box is not checked.
File I/O tab:
First box checked
Second box unchecked
Third box checked
Fourth box....If you want Shrink to burn with Nero then check this.
Fifth box unchecked.
After you get the movie ready and then select "Backup!", the Backup DVD menu opens.
This is what I have mine set to:
Target Device
Backup Target: Hard Disk Folder
Target Folder: C:\Docs&Settings\Frank\Desktop\DVD Work
DVD Region
Region Free box checked
Quality Settings
I use them when compression number is lower than 60% or so. Read the "What do these options mean?" link.
Options
Bottom box checked.
Check the top box if you multitask while encoding DVDs. Don't multitask while encoding DVDs!
Burn Settings
These will be greyed out if you are burning to your hard drive.
If you are setting Shrink to use Nero to burn with then you can set your burn speed here. If you do this, make sure you have a blank spun up in your burner. That way the correct speed can be set for the specific blank you are using.
I usually burn at 4x. More errors can occur at higher burn speeds.
Well thats how I have mine set up at the moment. I usually write to a hard disc folder and then open the VIDEO_TS folder up with Nero Burning ROM. Sometimes if I don't feel like manually doing it, I'll let Shrink do it for me.
Cheers,
Frank
