I was just wondering what programs everyone is using that could give me the best quality VCD...... i have used DVDx and its alright and I have used TMPG and its not much better... if anyone can tell me a good way Id appreciate it.. thank you

I Use TMPGEnc, and the results for me were fabulous, DVDx quality pretty much sucks, you can also use FlaskMPEG and then use any encoder you want.

I Suggest when you check the quality of a VCD, don't do it on your PC, but on a DVD Player instead.

I totally agree with Sefy that DVDx sucks esp. if you are encoding DVD that has movie previews, you will normally run into errors like audio blanks etc.

TMPGEnc is what I'm using and I will be glad if someone can suggest something better.

I heard that a friend of mine is using something call 'Dvd Squeeze" which promise no lost of image quality but set back is it takes 16 hrs to do the job....crazy man!

I Remember when I did the first DVD, it was back with DVD2MPG Squeezer, used the Panasonic Plugin, awsome quality but 16 hours encoding the very least!
