I have this very big and important doubt. I?m in the process of rebuilding my PC (adding new, better parts) But I wish to upgrade more than just hardware. I currently use Windows 2000 and it?s a great OS, no complaints. I am, however, interested in converting to Windows XP. I find XP to be very interesting, not to mention that some hardware won?t work without it as well as some software. In all compared to Windows 2000, XP is more tweakable in everyway. But I have heard to many stories about how bad XP is and how I should avoid it at all cost. I have used XP in my PC and I have not been to happy with it so far. Too many bugs, glitches and the fact that it was not a legal copy (borrowed one for testing) I could not install SP2. All in all I have heard great things about XP that make me wanna go running to the store right now and buy it, but I also have heard many bad things that have kept me from doing so.
I would like anyone and everyone?s help to decide whether I should move to XP or not. Give me good enough reasons (if it?s possible) to switch over and not concern myself so much with the down sides of XP. Or maybe there are not that many downsides as their were before.
Going by what is said here I will consider to buy XP. I am a firm believer that if a software has a great need to connect to the internet, specially very important ones (like OS?s and Anti-virus programs), that it is better to buy them rather then get a copy from someone else. But that's just me. No insult intended. Thanx in advance.
What comes around goes around.
