avi 98% downloaded, can I watch it??

I have 98% of an .avi movie, but it won't play.

Is there some software that will play what I have or do I need the other 2%??

I think there is a program just for that, It's called VLC Media Player by the VideoLAN team.

Google it n download it its freeware

Also depends how you are downloading it. Your http type download you would simply be missing the last 2% where as your bittorrent type download you could be missing the first 2, in which case it won't play.

hi GRHall,

I agree with everyone but you should also try jet audio basic as it will play an incomplete file as well.

Also note as celtic said if the avi file is not always uploaded/ downloaded in the correct order as this will cause just a portion of the file to be viewable. So keep in mind just because you have 98% doesn't always mean you are missing the end..could be the first part.
